The Assam state government has launched the Assam Gunotsav 2025. To evaluate the quality of schools in the Assam state and make sure the management of the school is good the Assam state government will start the Assam Gunotsav from next year. With the help of this exercise, The Assam state government will critically understand the quality of the schools and students. The evaluation under the scheme will start from January 2025 among all the 35 districts of Assam state. The evaluation Under The Assam Gunotsav will start from 7th January 2025 till 7th February 2025 covering all the districts and eligible schools of the state.
About Gunotsav
The Assam Gunotsav was first launched by the Assam state government in 2017 covering all the districts of the state. Since the launch, the Assam state government has conducted a total of 5 rounds of the scheme. This time the Assam state government has launched an official mobile app that will help the authorities to submit their report online after completing the evaluation. More than 44,000 schools in 35 districts of Assam state will be covered under Gunotsav. The evaluation will cover government/provincialized schools, tea garden model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya, Adarsha Vidyalayas and tea garden managed schools.

Objective of Assam Gunotsav
The main objective of conducting Assam Gunotsav is to improve the quality of education and enhance the overall learning output of the students in Assam state. The evaluation of the school will make sure that the teachers and students are cooperating and ensuring quality education in the state. According to the information a total of 39,65,081 students from classes 1 to 9 will be covered under the scheme. Gunotsav 2025 will be conducted in three phases, with the first phase covering 11 districts from January 6 to 9, the second phase in 14 districts from January 17 to 22, and the third phase in 10 districts from February 5 to 8.
