What is Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors?
The Prime Minister’s Scheme is an ambitious project designed by the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education for mentoring young authors of India so that they are able to promote reading writing and book culture countrywide. Under this scheme a total of 50 authors will be selected on the basis of as per their theme set by government. By offering this scheme government not only aims to educate and aspiring young authors under the age of thirty years but also ensure that every young author are ready to highlight themselves at any international platform and enables them to express Indian literature and culture worldwide. Overall, this mentorship program plays a significant role in creating a pool for young authors through which they are able to learn and write about a variety of subjects writing and contribute to a large body of writing that highlights India’s modern development and rich heritage.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for PM-YUVA 3.0 Scheme, applicant must have to meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as mentioned below
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India
- Applicant must be young author by profession
- Age of the author must not be more than 30 yrs. at the time of application.
- Applicant must not have any personal, professional, or academic obligations that interfere with the mentorship schedule during the PM-YUVA 3.0.
- Applicants who already enrolled in the PM-YUVA Scheme 1.0 and PM-YUVA Scheme 2.0 areย notย eligible for PM-YUVA 3.0 Scheme 2025-26.
- Only one entry per person is applicable.
- Any changes in the topicย of the Book Proposalย willย not be permitted after submission.

Financial Benefits
- Under this mentorship scheme, government offer consolidated scholarship of Rs. 50,000 per month for a duration of six months per author.
