The Maharashtra state government has launched the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana 2024-25. To provide free LPG gas cylinders to those female citizens of Maharashtra state who cannot afford one, the Maharashtra state government has introduced the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana. The scheme will remove the financial burden on financially unstable families of the state as well as make their health good by eliminating the traditional cooking method. A total of 3 free gas cylinders will be given to the selected applicants under the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana annually. This scheme will allow the female citizens of Maharashtra state to completely eliminate the use of traditional cooking methods.
About Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra state Mr. Devendra Fadnavis has introduced the “Fourth Women’s Policy-2024” for female citizens who belong to the disadvantaged sector. The Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is a part of “Fourth Women’s Policy-2024”. The scheme not only lifts the financial burden on female citizens but also contributes to the environment by significantly reducing the use of wood burning in cooking. The selected female citizens are eligible to receive a total of 3 LPG gas cylinders every year. The scheme will significantly reduce the health risks caused by the smoke from traditional cooking methods.
