The Maharashtra state government has launched the Lek Ladki Yojana 2024. To provide financial assistance to the newly born girl child of the state the state authorities have introduced the Lek Ladki Yojana. With the help of this scheme, the Maharashtra state government will provide financial assistance to the girl child to make their future financially secure. About Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana
To make sure all the newborn female citizens of the state live a comfortable life the Maharashtra state government introduced the Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana. Under this scheme, the total financial assistance of INR 1 lakh will be given to the selected beneficiaries. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through the DBT process. With the help of financial assistance, the newborn girl child can get primary education. The scheme will be implemented in the state in 5 phases. Eligibility Criteria
- The girl child must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state born after 1st April 2023.
- The annual income of the girl child’s family must not exceed INR 1 lakh.
- The family must hold a valid yellow or orange ration card.
Financial Benefits
- First Installment: INR 5,000 at birth
- Second Installment: INR 6,000 upon entering first grade
