Amount Increased Under Ladki Bahin Yojana
The newly elected Chief Minister of Maharashtra state Mr Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the state government will enhance the financial assistance under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. The announcement came during the first press conference of the new chief minister after taking the oath. The increased financial assistance will be given to the beneficiaries after the completion of the current financial year. Till now a total of INR 7500 worth of financial assistance was given to a total of 2.4 million beneficiaries in the Maharashtra state.
13L More Women will be Added Under Ladki Bahin Yojana
According to the information, the Maharashtra state government will add 13 lakh more female citizens of the state under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. These 13 lakh female citizens are pending because they do not have linked their Aadhar card with their bank account. However, these female citizens will now be added to the list of beneficiaries making a total of 2.4 million female citizens of the state. Till now Maharashtra state government has spent a total of INR 35000 crore to provide financial assistance to all the beneficiaries.
Maharashtra Governor Said that Ladki Bahin Yojana will Continue
The governor of Maharashtra state Mr. CP Radhakrishnan has announced that the Ladki Bahin Yojana will continue. During the announcement, Mr. CP Radhakrishnan said that the Mahayuti government has launched the scheme to serve the female citizens of the state and allow them to become financially independent. The governor of the state also announced that a total of 2 crore 34 lakh female citizens of Maharashtra state are availing the benefits of the scheme.

No plans to re-examine Ladki Bahin Scheme
The Maharashtra state minister Mrs Aditi Thakre has announced that the state government will not do the re-scrutiny. The authorities have announced that it is not feasible for the Maharashtra state government to do a scrutiny of 2.4 crore female citizens of the state. The state government will see if any complaint occurs in the future they will do the process but as of now the idea for scrutiny is dropped.
Eligibility Criteria
- The female citizens must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
- The female citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 60 years.
- The female citizens must be financially unstable citizens of the state.
- The annual income of the female citizen family must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
Ineligibility Criteria
- If the annual income of the applicant family combined is more than INR 2.5 lakh she will not be selected under the scheme.
- Any member of the applicant’s family must not be a taxpayer.
- If the family members of the applicant are working as regular/permanent employees in a government department, undertaking, board, Government of India or local body of state or drawing person after retirement he will not be selected under the scheme.
- Any family member of the applicant must not be a present or former MP / MLA.
- Any member of the applicant’s family must not be any government official.
- The applicant’s family member must not own a four-wheeler except a tractor to be eligible under the scheme.

Till now the Maharashtra state government has released a total of 5 installments of the scheme of INR 1500. The financial amount under the installments will be transferred directly to the bank account through the DBT process.

STEP 1: All the female citizens of Maharashtra state who want to apply under Ladki Bahin Yojana through the official website are requested to visit the official Ladki Bahin Yojana website.
STEP 2: Once the female citizens reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called “Ladki Bahin Registration”.
STEP 3: The registration form will now appear on your desktop screen the female citizens must enter all the details that are asked and attach all the necessary documents.
STEP 4: After entering all the details the female citizens must quickly review it and click on the option “submit” to complete their process.

STEP 1: To apply for the Ladki Bahin Yojana through the offical app female citizens must download the app from their Play Store or App Store.
STEP 2: After downloading the female citizens must open the application and enter their mobile number and click on the option “login”.
STEP 3: Accept all the terms and conditions and then an OTP will be sent to your registered number. Fill in the OTP and click on “verify”.
