After returning to power in Maharashtra state the Mahayuti government has released the Ladki Bahin Yojana Latest News 2024-25. All the female beneficiaries of Maharashtra state under the Ladki Bahin Yojana will now receive enhanced financial assistance from December. The Maharashtra state government will also increase the number of beneficiaries under the scheme. The scheme was first launched by the previous Chief Minister Mr Eknath Shinde on 17th August 2024 and since then the scheme has become one of the glorious schemes launched by the Maharashtra state government. The state authorities also released some information regarding the launch of the sixth installment of the scheme.
13L More Women will be Added Under Ladki Bahin Yojana
The Maharashtra state authorities have announced that they will increase the number of benefits under the scheme by adding 13 lakh more female citizens. These applications are pending because they are not Aadhar-seeded but now the state government will include all the pending applications under the scheme. After the increment of the female beneficiaries, the total beneficiaries to receive financial assistance under the scheme is 2.34 crore. The wide coverage of the scheme makes it a significant step of the Maharashtra state government toward women’s empowerment and increasing the standard of living of financially weak women.
Now Ladki Bahin Yojana Beneficiary will get Rs 2100 Monthly
Before the commencement of the state election in Maharashtra state, the ex-Chief Minister Mr Eknath Shinde announced that if the Mahayuti party comes into power again they will increase the financial assistance under the scheme. Now after successfully winning the state election the beneficiaries can expect to get enhanced financial assistance. The increased financial assistance of INR 2100 will be given to the selected beneficiaries. The female beneficiaries can expect to receive enhanced financial assistance from the month of December.

Objective of Ladki Bahin Yojana
One of the main objectives of launching the scheme is to make sure that all the female citizens of Maharashtra state become financially independent. With the help of financial assistance of INR 1500 per month female citizens can buy various necessary services including Healthcare and education. The Women and Child Development Department is the nodal department that administrates the work of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. All the female citizens of Maharashtra state who are between the age group of 21 to 65 years are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme

Eligibility Criteria
- The female citizens must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
- The female citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 60 years.
- The female citizens must be financially unstable citizens of the state.
- The annual income of the female citizen family must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
Ineligibility Criteria
- If the annual income of the applicant family combined is more than INR 2.5 lakh she will not be selected under the scheme.
- Any member of the applicant’s family must not be a taxpayer.
- If the family members of the applicant are working as regular/permanent employees in a government department, undertaking, board, Government of India or local body of state or drawing person after retirement he will not be selected under the scheme.
- Any family member of the applicant must not be a present or former MP / MLA.
- Any member of the applicant’s family must not be any government official.
- The applicant’s family member must not own a four-wheeler except a tractor to be eligible under the scheme.
