About PM Internship First Phase
The PM internship programโs initial phase began on October 3, 2024, and the online application deadline is November 15, 2024. Nearly 6 lakh applications from young Indian residents have been submitted to the authorities under the first phase. Over 28,000 young Indian nationals began their internships at prestigious Indian companies last year. The data indicates that 280 organizations, including Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, Maruti Suzuki, and HDFC Bank, have submitted a total of 127,000 internship offers during phase 1 of the program.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this program is given below:-
- The young people must live in India permanently.
- The applicant applying for thus program must be unemployed at the moment.
- ย The applicant must have completed at least their tenth grade.
- ย The applicants familyโs yearly income cannot be more than rupees 8 lakh.
- They must be young people between the ages of 21 and 24.
Ineligibility Criteria

- ย Any citizen whose family member works for the government is not allowed to apply.
- IIT, ILM, National Law University, USER, NID, and IIT graduates are not eligible to apply for the program.

- Anyone participating in a student training program, apprenticeship, internship, or skill development program run by the federal government or state universities.
